Ordering a new book can take a while. The request has to be received, then the order process begins where the request is sent through our vendors. Once the item is received, it is processed, cataloged and then placed in the book stacks. The time frame differs. You can check periodically in the Library Catalog for an update on an item's status.

When an item has the status "In Process," you may complete a rush request. This is the advisable action to ensure you receive the book in a timely manner.
