The best place to begin for learning a foreign language is the World Languages,Literatures & Cultures Research Guide found on the Library homepage. 

Select the language you're interested in from the tabs and go to the page for detailed information on resources for that language.

You might also want to look at Transparent Language Online from our Databases A-Z tab.   You'll need to create a user account. 

Another source for conversation/ speaking might be to find a podcast from iTunes or another source.
