The EasyBib Pro version that Walker Library subscribes to will be retired on July 31, 2017.
What does this mean?
Walker Library is subscribing to EasyBib Edu for the next academic year. This version has many of the EasyBib Pro features for free for students, faculty and staff (with a registered account). Access to the same citation styles, database exports, sharing and more. Users will need to create a new EasyBib Edu account using the coupon code mtsuedu. All their projects and citations will still be available. Chegg ads will appear.
There is no notebook feature. If anyone used notebook, it will be necessary to download any notes, as this feature ends July 31, 2017.
Why are School Edition and Academic Edition being retired?
In May 2016, EasyBib became a part of the education company Chegg, Inc. EasyBib is retiring their institutional services to focus efforts on core citation functionality and complementary writing tools.
What will happen to EasyBib accounts already set up?
Once your subscription’s expiration date has passed, everyone’s accounts will simply be downgraded to a free account. Everyone uses their same login and password to access their projects and bibliographies which will still be there. If anyone wants access to premium features (multiple citation styles, etc.) they may sign up for a personal (paid) a subscription to EasyBib Pro, or register for a free EasyBib Edu account using the coupon code mtsuedu
What do I need to do?
Anyone who uses EasyBib can expect to have their accounts downgraded to free, but all of their projects and citations will still be available. If they are users of the notebook, they must download any notes for posterity as this feature will be closed July 31, 2017.
