The first step might be ot use one of our career sources such as Occupational Outlook Handbook.

  • It provides a lot of good information on careers which includes demand for the job, qualifications, etc.
  • Type "police officers" in the box at the top of the page.  

We also have a Career Resources Research Guide that provides links to other sources on careers.  

  • For articles, you might look at some aspect of police work to get an idea about how to decide.

Using JEWL Search you could type in police officers AND job satisfaction.  Or substitute another keyword you're interested in (stress or salary).  You can limit your search to types of sources from the results page.
