Q. How do I use the Canvas learning management system?

MTSU is enhancing its digital learning infrastructure by replacing D2L Brightspace with the Canvas learning management system (LMS). Canvas will enable MTSU faculty to deliver effective and engaging instruction within a student-friendly environment.

Selected instructors and course sections will participate in a pilot of Canvas during the Spring 2026 semester, which means the course will be taught in Canvas instead of in D2L. All courses will be taught in Canvas beginning Summer 2026. Students with a Spring 2026 course in Canvas will be notified through MTSU email.
