Some of our ebooks only allow one user at a time to download the book. Someone else may be using the title and you will need to wait for it to become available.

Try again later and chances are you'll be able to use it. Generally, there's a timeout period of 15 minutes or so (varies by vendor).

Unfortunately, there's not an easy way to tell if an ebook is single-user or multiple-user until you actually use it.

Why do we have single-user licenses?

  • Some publishers don't allow multi-user access to their ebooks
  • Sometimes multi-user licenses are too expensive.
