Q. How do I find newspaper articles from 1947?

To locate articles from 1947, the best place to start is the historical newspapers tab on our Newspapers Guide. Click on the Historical Newspapers tab.  Scroll down and select a newspaper, i.e.  The Historical New York Times.  You can limit by date.

• From the Publication Date, choose Specific Date Range if you want a specific period; i.e. April 1947 - September 1947 or enter the year itself.
• Press Search for results. 
• Enter your search term(s) in the search box. 
• Choose Full Text - PDF if you wish to save or print.
